Thank You Mrs. Byrn
Dear Mrs. Byrn,
I was talking with my brother a few weeks ago about our musical histories. Craig and I took piano lessons for more than a decade, with a few pauses in-between. We had several piano teachers along the way, each with different styles of teaching and different tastes in music. I learned important musical lessons from each of my teachers, but I appreciate most the short time that I spent learning from you, my last piano teacher. I wish I had spent more time in your training.

New Suneral (emocore) MP3's

Suneral, from left to right: Josi (vocals), Alvais (bass), Stefan (not in the band), Messi (with cap - guitar), Stippi (drums), Craig (guitar).
Fresh after a great show in Zistersdorf, Suneral, a Vienna-based Emocore Band, has just finished recording three new singles in the studio. I'm pleased to offer the MP3's here, hot off the presses, along with a couple of pictures of the band. These are big, high quality MP3 files (8-10 MB each, 320 KBit/s bitrate). I hope you enjoy them as much as I do...
Please right click the links and choose "Save As..." (Speichern Unter...)
Suneral - Feb 2005 Singles - 01 - Cold C
Suneral - Feb 2005 Singles - 02 - My Day
Suneral - Feb 2005 Singles - 03 - War Waltz
Be Advised: As my younger sister would say, this music is not for "geezers." It is pretty heavy, and may contain some swear words. If that kind of stuff offends you, please take a look at some of my many photographs of Vienna.

l-r: Craig, Josi, Messi, Stippi, Alvais and his photogenic dreadlocks. Craig is my younger brother.

Gravesites of Ludwig van Beethoven, Brahms, Franz Schubert and Johannes Strauss (Photos)

Ludwig van Beethoven's Grave

Brahms' Grave

Franz Schubert's Grave

Johannes Strauss' Grave
The graves of 4 great composers lie next to each other in the Vienna Zentralfriedhof (central cemetery).
Directions:
If you would like to visit the gravesite, first take the U3 to Simmering.
At Simmering, get on the 71 Strassenbahn (street tram) travelling away from the city center.
Exit the 71 at Zentralfriedhof, Tor 2 (Central Cemetery, Gate 2).
Walk straight through the gate, toward the church (Karl Borromäus-Kirche). Several hundred meters into the cemetery, you'll see the composers' graves on the left-hand side of the promenade.
