Forever Hungry Exhibition Opening (Bratislava, Slovakia)
I attended an exhibition opening (Forever Hungry) in Bratislava on Thursday.
Twins II - Andrea Bartošová. One of the artworks on display at the exhibition.
Musical entertainment was provided by a Slovakian band called ETHNA.
I was impressed. The singer had a great voice, and the band was pretty tight.

This little guy seemed to embody the idea of being "Forever Hungry." He spent most of the evening scrounging for scraps of food from the buffet (prepared and served by Hare Krishnas).

How did I end up in Bratislava for an exhibition opening? A friend of mine, Rashid Badreldin, was exhibiting there, and he invited me to come along. Rashid created the wall painting you see in this picture.

The space, "Studio 12" in English, was pretty nice. It was an old industrial warehouse that has recently been converted to an art gallery with some false walls, ceilings and a coat of gray paint on the concrete floor. It was spacious and well-lit.
Toward the end of the evening, my little friend decided to take a break from scrap-scrounging and admire some art. I have a difficult time admiring art on an empty stomach, too.

Rashid Badreldin and his work at the "Forever Hungry" exhibition in Bratislava. Rashid is a cool guy. Thanks for the invite, Rashid - I had a lot of fun...

Hi Jano - thanks for getting the artist's name for me. I liked that piece, and thought it photographed nicely. I've updated the entry already.
