Ulaanbaatar at Night

Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia)

Here's a picture of Ulaanbaatar from our hotel at night. Ulaanbaatar was a little depressing - the roads are heavily potholed, the national monuments are in various states of disrepair, and in some parts of the city, Mongolians are still living inside Ger. This city was probably even more run-down than Sarajevo was when I first visited Bosnia 3 years ago. (China_and_mongolia_072)
